Nairobi Animal Orphanage is located within Nairobi National Park, south of Nairobi City; a distance of 10 km from the Nairobi Central Business District using the KWS headquarters gate on Lang’ata Road.
It serves as a refuge for the wild animals providing protection, treatment, and rehabilitation
The Nairobi Animal Orphanage also takes the responsibility of educating the general public about the need to conserve the environment and wildlife.
Animals found at the Nairobi Animal Orphanage are not entirely indigenous to Kenya. Animals such as tiger and pygmy hippos have been traced to this orphanage.
