Animal found in this park includes; the lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Wild dogs, Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Rhino, Zebra, Impala, Gazelle, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudus, Mongoose, Nocturnal porcupine, Crocodile, Hippo among others.
It has also a wide variety of birds, over 600 species of bird.
Weather & Climate
The annual average temperature is 25C with the highest temperatures ranging at 30C and the lowest ranging at 20C.
There are two rainy seasons-the short and long rains. The short rains are at their peak between November and December while the long rains are at their peak between March and April.

The climate here is friendly and you can visit Amboseli National Park almost all year round and maybe avoid the months rainy seasons are at their peak.
No guests on foot are allowed to enter the park

The Amboseli National Park charges are similar to those of Nakuru National Park. They are both Premium Parks.

Non-residents (USD): Adult 60, Child 35
Means of payment include the use of M-Pesa, VISA Card, or a direct deposit to KWS bank accounts.
How to get there
By Road– from Nairobi, you will cover 240 km via Namanga to Meshanani Gate.
Alternatively, you can hit 228 km of Road from Nairobi via Emali on Nairobi-Mombasa Road.
Access from Mombasa is through Tsavo West via Kimana Gate.
By Air– Amboseli has an Airstrip at Empusel Gate. There also exists an airstrip at the park HQ, Kilimanjaro Buffalo Lodge, and Namanga Town.
